What works better: A button with: RECEIVE AN OFFER or ASK FOR AN OFFER? No one can tell for sure and there is just one way to figure this out: by testing it. There is no golden rule which applies to every website. Surprisingly, it is often the subtle changes which have the biggest effect. Recently we did a test where we only changed the text on one button. The original Call To Action (CTA) converted for 2%. The new text converted with more than 4%. This customer only has to deploy half his budget to get the same results.
